Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has banned movement of cattle on road in the city. BMC has issued notice directing cattle owners and rearers not to allow their cattle roam hither and thither. BMC has expressed concerns about stray cattle menace increasingly causing traffic obstruction, accident deaths on roads.
Currently, pet registration is mandatory throughout India, and all responsible pet owners must get it done with the local civic bodies.
BMC today issued a notice to all owners, developers, builders of residential apartments, commercial buildings and other establishments to use their designated parking space for parking and not for other purposes.
The residents of Bhubaneswar will have to take prior permission for keeping animals as pets as per the proposed guidelines which will be implemented by BMC. The new rules will be implemented from next week, informed BMC Commissioner on Friday.
