According to the priest of the temple, of the eight stolen idols, five were of large sizes while the rest were comparatively smaller ones. 

There are two antique idols of Lord Buddha. They were buried in sand under Baitarani River water in Bhadrak district. However, locals stumbled upon these idols while lifting sand from the river bed.
