A day after the State Drugs Control squad seized huge quantities of fake anti-covid drugs 'Favipiravir' in Cuttack, the State Health department has ordered a probe into the incident on Saturday.
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), which developed 2-Deoxy-D- Glucose (2-DG), a drug used for the treatment of COVID-19 patients, has called for Expression of Interest (EoI) to transfer the technology to Indian pharmaceutical industries for production.
The anti-covid medicine which was developed by Defence Research Organisation (DRDO) in Collaboration with the Hyderabad-based Dr Reddy’s Pharma Laboratory is claimed to help faster recovery of hospitalized patients and reduce oxygen dependence.
The Drugs Controller General of India has approved an anti-COVID-19 drug developed by the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) for emergency use, the Defence Ministry has said.
