Bhubaneswar: A train ticket examiner (TTE) was killed after a fall from the running express Neelachal Express at Mancheswar station here today, railway police said. The victim, identified as Kedar Chandra Sahu of nearby Rangamatia village, was crushed to death as he slipped from the Puri bound train from New Delhi, a GRP official investigating the incident said.
The identity card, badge and some other papers recovered from the body helped establish the identity of the deceased, who was in proper uniform, the IO said adding the family of the deceased had been informed. Investigation is on to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident.
