Bolangir: Supporters of BJD leader Lalit Nayak today staged protest against BJP's Bolangir Lok Sabha MP Sangeeta Singh Deo accusing her of obstructing a scheduled meeting with Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in Delhi.

The Bolangir MP was on a visit to the district today along with Pradhan to review the flood situation when Nayak's supporters created ruckus and a scuffle broke out between the supporters of the parliamentarian and the ruling-BJD leader.

Nayak alleged that when he had gone to Delhi to meet Pradhan to discuss establishment of a permanent High Court bench in Bolangir, he was misbehaved by Singh Deo.

"When I had gone to Delhi to meet Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the Bolangir MP told me to stay outside and misbehaved with me. Is this how voters should be treated? Such misbehavior will not be tolerated by people of the constituency," Nayak said.

Responding to the allegations, the Bolangir MP said, "I don't know why they are protesting against me. At a time when we are trying our best to get assistance for flood from the Centre by bringing Union Minister to our constituency, these people are creating ruckus only for self-interests."
