Bhubaneswar: All living beings have got a brief respite from the grueling heat following the continuous rainfall in many parts of the state since Friday evening.

Such cloudy weather is likely to continue for next 24 hours due to thunderstorm, said regional Metrological department.

Cyclonic storm over Bay of Bengal and a trough line passing over western Uttar Pradesh and coastal Odisha resulted in rainfall in parts of Odisha, added Met dept. The fishermen have been asked not to venture in to the sea.

Following the rain and thundershowers, the temperatures across the State including hottest Titilagarh has shown a down ward trend. Temperature at many places in the State has been recorded less 38 degree C. However, mercury will go up again after two three days, Met sources said.
