Bhadrak: A large number of people from the Muslim community in Bhadrak and Jagatsinghpur protested the release of the digital film “Aisha” alleging that it is hurting their religious sentiments.

Hundreds of community members took out a rally from Gujidarada Mosque in Bhadrak town alleging that the recently released trailer of the movie named “Aisha” has wrongly portrayed the wife of Prophet Mohammed, Hajrat Bibi Aisha Siddiqui.

A Wakf Board member from Uttar Pradesh is said to have produced this movie, the trailer of which seemingly has enraged the religious sentiments of the minorities.

The protesters have sought attention of the government to halt the release of the movie and take strong action against the producers.

Mirza Mahboob Beig, a minority leader said, “We have put up a demand letter before the Collector to arrest the maker of this movie and also ban it's release.

Similarly, Muslims in Jagatsinghpur also took out a rally protesting the release of the movie and presented a memorandum to the President of India through the district collector.
