Cuttack: The Justice P K Mohanty judicial commission appointed by the government to probe the alleged Pipili gang rape incident today held its maiden session in its office here. On the first day, the commission mostly worked upon the schedule of the commission.

The meeting decided to issue notification regarding affidavits by persons interested to appear before the commission as witnesses in the case. However, the commission today acknowledged seven affidavits on the first day. Of these six affidavits have been submitted to the Pipili tehsildar while one more affidavit has been submitted at the commission`s office here. No affidavit as yet, however, has been filed by neither the family members nor the relatives of the victim.

The commission, it was learnt, would also visit Pipili for an on the spot inquiry about the incident. The commission informed that it would also issue notices to persons concerned in connection with the case for appearance before the commission.
