Ollywood Actress Divya Refutes Clicking Photo In Srimandir

Puri: Ollywood actress Divya found herself in the eye of storm after a purported photo of her clicked inside Jagannath temple in Puri went viral on social media.

In the viral photograph with a caption 'Mahaprasad bhojan divya di with family and my friends', the actress was seen having Mahaprasad along with her family and friends at Ananda Bazaar in Srimandir.

Asked about the incident, Divya who starred opposite to Babusan in the recently released Ollywood movie Mr Majnu, clarified that she did not click the picture inside the 12th century shrine.

The actress said she was well aware about the restrictions inside Srimandir and so did not carry cellphone into the temple. Alleging that since many people were taking photographs in the temple, she said, someone who clicked her photo while she was having the holy food might have released it in the social media platforms.

"I urge the administration to instead investigate the details of the account from which the photograph was posted, said the actress.

It may be noted that this is not for the first instance when a photograph of the shrine's interior complex has gone viral on social media. Despite strict restriction on entry of mobiles or any other forms of electronic gadgets into the temple, numerous such instances had come to fore in the past.
