Malkangiri: When police constable, Niladri Bihari Dadia, had appeared for the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) examination last year, little did he know that he will come out with flying colours.

Dadia, who secured 97th rank in the examination, was accorded a grand welcome by family members, friends and relatives after he reached his native place Malkangiri today.

"I am falling short of words to express my happiness. I prepared very hard for the examination. I have been preparing for the examination since 2015," Dadia said.

After completing his training in 2003 in Hyderabad, he became a part of the anti-Maoist operation. Subsequently, in 2009, Dadia joined the special security wing and later he was appointed as the bodyguard of Koraput MP Jhina Hikaka.

"We are extremely happy on his success. He will be even more successful in the future as well," said Dadia's friend Santosh Juanga.
