Bhubaneswar: Close on the heels of resignation of senior party leaders and MLAs Naba Das and Jogesh Singh, Odisha Pradesh Mahila Congress Vice President and OPCC member Jayshree Patnaik on Thursday quit the party.

Patnaik has sent her resignation letter to OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik, AICC and the office of party national president Rahul Gandhi.

Speaking on her resignation, Patnaik during a telephonic conversation to OTV, alleged that she has been neglected by the party leadership even after dedicating her life to work for the upliftment of the party organisation in Begunia and Bolagarh Assembly constituencies of Khuda over the last three decades.

Meanwhile, comments from the OPCC or any party leader regarding the development are yet to be obtained.
