Notorious criminal Guddu Gupta arrested

Jharsuguda: In a major breakthrough, Brajarajnagar police on Thursday arrested notorious criminal Guddu Gupta aka Sanjay from MCL quarters in Kalinagar under Orient police limits here.

According to sources, police have seized six mousers, 40 live bullets and Rs 10 lakh cash from his possession.

On March 23, while police was conducting checking of vehicles plying in the city, it found one mouser and Rs 60, 000 from Guddu’s vehicle.

Later, the police brought the gangster to police station and interrogated him about his criminal activities. On Thursday, police raided the house of Guddu and seized five more mousers, ammunition and cash, sources in police said.

Besides, the police have also seized two cars, truck and JCB of the criminal, the police sources added.

Guddu has more than 12 criminal cases against him at number of police stations across the state. Besides, he was sent to jail for his involvement in fake currency transactions, informed Brajarajnagar SDPO.
