Man Killed In Elephant Attack In Odisha

Sundergarh: A 55-year-old man was killed after being reportedly attacked by an elephant atThutipipal village under Ujalpur forest range of Sundergarh district late last night. The deceased has been identified as Parikshita Gahir.

As per reports, Gahir was sleeping in his house at Thutipipal village when a herd of elephants ransacked the house. Though Gahira ran out of the house to save his life, he was reportedly attacked by an elephant and died on the spot.

After receiving information, forest officials rushed to the spot to ward off the elephant from the village. Subsequently, police also reached the spot and sent Gahira’s body for post-mortem.

Further investigation in connection with the incident is underway.
