Kondhmal: A fast track court in the district today dropped charges against ten accused persons in two different cases relating to the Kondhmal riots.

The judge of the fast track court number-1 today set free accused Mangaraj Pradhan and Barun Pradhan in a house burning case that took place on August 21, 2008 at village Madumaha under Raikia police station.

Likewise, the judge felt that the charge sheet against eight others in an arson case that took place on September 30, 2008 at village Sadingia under Firingia police station was took weak to pronounce punishment. The accused were Ananka Kahanra, Birupakhya Kahanra, Dambarudhar Kahanra, Nilu Sahoo, Purusottam Kahanra, Jaga Kahanra, Bipin Kahanra and Santeswar Kahanra.
