Bhubaneswar: Tension ran high at the Trinity Neuro Hospital & Trauma Centre in the capital city last night after some people ransacked the hospital property following death of a patient. The family members reportedly created a scene alleging that the hospital authorities denied to admit the patient, which led to his death.

However, the hospital manager refuted the allegations of medical negligence. He said the patient was already dead when his family members brought him to the hospital.

"The patient Sanjay Kumar Sahu had already died in the ambulance. When he was brought to the hospital, doctors declared him brought dead, which is why we did not take him to the casualty. This made the attendants furious," said Abhiram Behera, Manager of Trinity Hospital.

The manager immediately informed local police, who rushed to the spot to pacify the family members of the deceased. The family, however, could not be contacted over the issue.
