Cuttack: The crime branch police today arrested Sukant Pradhan alias Abua from Pipli area in connection with the gang rape case. Sukant alias Abua was the fourth accused in the case. Sukant was sent for medical examination in the SCB medical and he would be produced in the court on Friday.The three other accuseds including main accused Prashant Pradhan were arrested earlier.

Meanwhile, renowned neurosurgeon Dr Bhabani Dash, one of the founders of famous neuro centre in Begaluru, NIMHANS today examined the rape victim in the intensive care unit of the SCB medical in Cuttack. The team of experts of the SCB attending to the victim took advices from doctors of AIIMS in New Delhi through e-conferencing.
