Foreign liquor seized in Ganjam

The liquor was being illegally transported in the vehicle from Gopalpur to Sambalpur on Sunday, the police said.

Sub-divisional police officer, Bhanjanagar S C Jamadar said the vehicle had permission to transport only 1100 boxes of foreign liquor of two batches but it was found to be overloaded with crates of many batches, he said. The driver was detained and investigation was on, he said.
