Bhubaneswar: Despite the ongoing agitation of 488 category lecturers the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) is all set to conduct Plus II examination 2013 in the state commencing tomorrow.

This year around 2 lakh 80 thousand students from 1,295 colleges would appear in examination in science, arts, commerce and vocational streams at 1,069 centres across the state.

While, 662-category lecturers have assured full cooperation in Plus II exam after withdrawing the strike on Wednesday evening, 488 category lecturers have threatened to intensify the stir if demands are not met by March 11. Meanwhile, 488 category lecturers have agreed to cooperate in Plus II and Plus III examinations.

Over 15,000 block grant teachers of 488 and 662 categories of block grant colleges had threatened to boycott the Plus II and Plus III examinations respectively if the government fails to fulfill their demands of abolishing the block grant system and give them a 100 per cent grants in aid.
