Bhubaneswar: Investors of Artha Tatwa (AT) Group have lodged a complaint against the company’s CMD Pradip Sethi and other officials with Sahadebakhunta police, Balasore, seeking their immediate arrest for allegedly duping crores of public money.

In the fear of losing their hard earned money the investors have filed a complaint as the AT group had closed all its offices including the corporate office at Bhubaneswar.

They have mentioned, in the complaint, that since July last year the company has stopped paying dividend money on the basis of deposited amount.

When they approached the company officials, they agreed to start payment from November which did not happen.

Later, through a newspaper advertisement the company declared that it would settle the investments soon. But, still no account has been settled.

"As per the agreement, the company should have paid three per cent dividend per month to senior citizens against Rs 1 lakh deposit, while  two percent to general investors," said Tarun Mishra, an investor.

There is no news on the whereabouts of AT Group authorities.

"We demand immediate arrest of Pradeep Sethi and refund of the deposited amount. There are around 1500 agents and 20,000 customers from Balasore zone alone," said Sushant Lenka, an employee of AT group.

However, Sahadebakhunta Police Station IIC Manoj Kumar Rout said, "We will take action as per the law. We have received complaint from around 50 depositors."

Meanwhile, on Monday, nearly 60 depositors and agents of Saradha Group submitted a memorandum to Balasore Collector Ranjit Mohanty urging him to make arrangements to return their invested money in the company.

Notably, Saradha Group’s CMD Sudipta Sen and two other directors have been arrested by Kolkata Crime Branch police. Sources said the company has collected nearly Rs 15 crore and Rs 50 crore from Puri and Balasore, respectively.
