BJD activists up in arms against senior leader Sanjay Das Burma

Puri: Rift surfaced in Brahmagiri unit of ruling BJD after a faction of party leaders and activists targeted party MLA and senior leader Sanjay Das Burma alleging him of only doing politics by installing plaques and not carrying out any development work. A group of party workers in a press meet on Sunday alleged that though the MLA was repeatedly intimated about various problems of the constituency, the requests have remained unheard.

“We want the MLA, who is accountable for the development of the region, to take steps to ensure all the welfare projects are implemented at the earliest,” said former Zilla Parishad member, Prasanna Kumar Baral.

The party workers further threatened that a block-level agitation will be launched soon against Burma and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will also be informed about the matter.

However, no comments could be obtained from Burma in the matter.
