Bhagirathi Mandangi missing case takes new turn
The family members of Mandangi and Zilla Adivasi Manch met the Collector on Saturday in this regard. They have informed that if the accused are not arrested within the next three days they would call for a Rayagada bandh and not allow the government offices to function.
However, the Collector said that the identity of the body can only be ascertained after the DNA report comes.
Earlier, the family members of Mandangi had declined that the body that was found on December 18 was his. The Rayagada Zilla Adivasi Manch had called for a 12-hour bandh demanding information about a missing tribal leader and former councillor of Rayagada municipality Bhagirathi Mandangi. They had also demanded for a crime branch enquiry into his mysterious missing.
