1 killed, 2 injured in group clash over illegal ganja trade

Cuttack: Police arrested four persons following a group clash at Maniabandha under Badamba police limits in the district late last night that left one person dead and two others injured.

As per reports, two groups clashed at Nuapatna and later at Maniabandha over ganja trade. Members of one group attacked a youth identified as Bikash Sahu with lathis killing him on the spot.

Later, bombs were hurled at the spot causing injury to two persons. The injured duo identified as Indramani Sitha and Bindhani Mada was shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital, informed sources.

Following the incident, the police rushed to the spot with a scientific team and arrested the accused men. As per preliminary information, the group clash occurred over illegal ganja trade, informed police.
