Bhubaneswar: Mystery behind triple murder in Khandagiri Vihar is unfolding slowly. Sneha Swakhyar Samal, the accused in the murder case, in his first statement to officials of Commissionerate Police on Wednesday night said he was dissatisfied with the deceased doctor Atulya Chandra Meher regarding the treatment of his daughter, sources told OTV.

The accused was angry with the doctor over treatment expenses, added sources. Notably, the assailant took his daughter to Dr. Meher, an orthopedic surgeon, for treatment a few months back.

Samal had also tried to execute his murder plans on October 13 evening, but failed. On October 14 during morning hours, he killed Dr. Meher and two others and injured one woman. While fleeing from the spot, Samal was caught by on-lookers and handed over to police.

The accused, who was injured during the scuffle while stabbing the victims, is under treatment in the Capital Hospital here.
