Bhubaneswar: In a major relief for students and guardians, the School and Mass Education (S&ME) department said on Thursday revised mark sheets of the annual Odisha High School Certificate (HSC) examination will be uploaded on different result websites by today evening or tomorrow morning while accepting an error in evaluation of Third Language papers due to ‘systemic error’ in computers.

“In the Third Language papers there were some mistakes in evaluation due to systemic error in the computer. Our officials have already rectified the error. We will upload the modified mark sheets by today evening or tomorrow morning,” the department's secretary Usha Padhee told mediapersons here.

Meanwhile, the senior official added the department has asked the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) to submit a report regarding wrong valuation in the answer papers of the HSC exam.

There was strong resentment among students and guardians following announcement of the HSC exam results on Wednesday. There were complaints from various parts of the state alleging that students, who had secured over 90% mark in the subjective part of the Third Language papers in Hindi and Sanskrit, had obtained poor marks in the objective section attempted through optical mark recognition (OMR).
