Kolkata: Odisha suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of West Bengal after getting all out for a paltry score of 37 in their second innings of the Ranji Trophy match played at Kolkata.

In a pitch, which was a seemingly bowler-friendly; batsmen of both the teams faced significant difficulties. West Bengal went on to set a target of 170 for Odisha after scoring only 135 in their second innings.

However, the biggest talking point of the match was the utterly disappointing batting display put on by Odisha in their second innings after getting bowled out for a score of only 37. Ashoke Dinda ripped through the Odisha batting order by claiming 7 wickets, while Pragyan Ojha took three wickets.

Odisha could only bat for 19.2 overs in their second innings. None of the Odisha batsman went to double figures with

Arabind Singh and Jayanta Behera being the joint-highest scorers with 7 runs each.

Earlier, West Bengal in its second innings managed to score 135 runs helped by 39 runs from A.R. Eshwaran, 35 runs from Sudeep Chatterjee and 35 runs from Manoj Tiwari.

For Odisha Basant Mohanty was the most successful bowler claiming 5 wickets.
West Bengal opener A.R. Eswaran was adjudged man of the match for his 88 and 39 in the first and second innings, respectively.
