As per media reports, Anjali Arora recently announced her silver screen debut as Sita in Abhishek Singh’s directorial Shri Ramayan Katha.
In her recent interview with ETimes, she expressed feeling 'blessed' to essay Goddess Sita's character. She also revealed her initial curiosity about landing the role. Anjali mentioned that the director informed her that she was competing with a few other actors.
However, the makers ultimately selected her. She also shared that since being finalised for the role last month, she has been diligently watching videos and attending workshops as a part of preparations for her character.
While Sai Pallavi is in the headlines for portraying Mata Sita's character alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Anjali acknowledged that her performance will inevitably be compared to the popular actress. However, she also expressed her contentment at being compared to Sai Pallavi. She said, "If I am compared to a Bollywood actress, I will be happy."
She also asserted that her social media image has nothing to do with her acting skills and won't affect her performance.
