Bhubaneswar: As a part of an operation called Black Smoke, the Commissionerate Police today arrested three robbers, who were planning a robbery in the capital city. The three arrested have been identified as Sarada Moharana, Shankar Moharana, and Shalu Dehuri.

Police have seized two stolen guns and 2 rounds ammunition, which are expected to have been sourced from Bihar. However, two other members of the gang were able to escape, informed police sources.

According to Police, the robbers were nabbed during a raid in the Infocity area of Bhubaneswar by the Quick Action Team of police.

The raid was a part of the Black Smoke operation of Commissionerate Police and will be intensified in the coming days, informed police sources.

“A gang which deals in illegal arms and was planning to commit robbery in the Nandan Vihar area, have been nabbed by the police today. According to preliminary investigation a person from Bihar is supplying illegal arms through his friend in Bhubaneswar, who managed to escape. Another person involved with the gang has also managed to escape,” informed Police Commissioner R.P. Sharma.
