Bhubaneswar: In an age when most of the children are just graduating themselves from learning alphabets to words, Pratyush Raj Swain from Odisha can name almost all the important places on the planet, various languages, songs, coins and population of many countries.

Eight-year-old Pratyush from Damana area in the Capital City has been fondly referred ‘Geography Boy’ in the locality. This new whiz kid in the world of geography has become a sensation for all and sundry with his inimitable memory.

Pratyush, who studies in class III, displays remarkable skills in memorising words and objects in seconds. He can recollect details of many countries, their languages, songs, currencies, flags, capitals, population and their neighbouring countries. Along with memorising words, he can also answer questions on world geography and sing songs of different countries.

In the fast moving world where many are finding it difficult to memorise things, the high IQ level and memory power of the kid have left many experts baffled.

“I take a special interest in geography and love to memorise things. I have learnt these things by reading books, watching maps and YouTube,” said Pratyush who aspires to join Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in future.
