Bolangir: Two persons were killed while two others sustained critical injuries after two motorcycles collided head-on in Patnagarh area of Bolangir district on Monday.
The mishap occurred near a bridge at Kapani area under Belapada Police limits. While one person died on the spot, another succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to a healthcare centre in Patnagarh.
One of the deceased who succumbed on the spot has been identified as Kalia Meher, a resident of Belapada, while the identity of another deceased was not immediately ascertained.
The two critically injured persons were shifted to the district headquarters hospital after preliminary treatment at Patnagarh healthcare centre.
Police have launched a probe into the matter.
