Bhubaneswar: Inaugurating BJD’s orientation camp, party chief and CM Naveen Patnaik on Sunday called upon the fresher MLAs to stress on the development of their own area rather than politics. He advised the new members of the Assembly to keep special attention on the expenditure of the MLA LAD fund.
In the training session, the senior MLAs like Bikram Arukh, Anant Das, Pradip Amat, Amar Satpathy, Prafula Samal, Nrusingha Sahu, Ved Prakash Agrawal have imparted training to the new comers on how to behave in the Assembly and participate in the business, prepare questions and raise issues. At least 42 new legislators took part in the closed-door workshop.
The focus would be on their conduct in the House and to make them good Parliamentarians, Arukh said. The freshers would be asked not to raise issues which would embarrass the party in the floor of the House and outside, sources in the party said.
