Cuttack: The preparatory work of Board of Secondary Education (BSE) to conduct annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations this year, which is scheduled to start from February 23, has reached the final stages.

The question papers along with the answer sheets for first 3 days of the exams have been sent directly to 302 nodal centres in first phase. They will be kept under tight surveillance of police there, said BSE president Dakshya Prasad Nanda.

“We will inform the district examination officers and collectors about sending of the question papers. Nearly 5,92,281 candidates will appear in the exams, which will be held at 2,799 centres across the State,” he added.

Meanwhile, as many as 5 lakh students have enrolled their names online for 2016 matriculation examinations. The online registration will continue till February 20, he stated.
