Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader and former minister Golak Naik today resigned from party’s primary membership citing autocratic nature of party leaders as the reason.

After ending the long relationship with saffron party, Naik reacted to the media saying that he was displeased by the high-handedness of some of the top party leaders. However, on being asked about his plans, he said he would decide the future course of action after discussing with supporters and people from his constituency.

A former MLA from Khunta constituency of Mayurbhanj district, Naik had met CM and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik two days ago fuelling speculation of joining the ruling party. However, he denied the media speculation terming his meeting as a courtesy visit. He also hinted at a change of affiliation by saying, ‘everything is possible in politics’.
