BJP leader and Tripura’s former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Saturday launched a veiled attack on BJD leader VK Pandian, saying the prospect of an outsider ruling Odisha doesn’t augur well for the state.

Deb, who was on a two-day visit to the Rayagada district, took part in workers meetings at the Rayagada district party office and in Gunupur.
While addressing the workers, he let himself loose while attacking the BJD dispensation, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his close aide VK Pandian. He also urged people to vote for the BJP for a double-engine government in the state.

“The Government should bring such a person who can speak with Odisha people and run the state smoothly. To allow Odisha to be run by an outsider is not a good sign for the state. Under the leadership of Narendra Modiji, we will win all the Lok Sabha seats, and Assembly seats and form government in Odisha,” said Deb.

“I have been moving around in villages and towns. Everywhere people want Modiji because they are fed up with this 24-year-old government,” he added.

In this regard, no reactions were received from the BJD.
