Bhubaneswar: Former minister Raghunath Mohanty’s daughter-in-law Barsha Sony Choudhury today met CM Naveen Patnaik at his residence seeking speedy redresses of her grievance over the alleged dowry torture case she brought against her father-in-law and other family members.

Barsha drew the attention of the CM that the investigating agency is delaying to file charge-sheet in her case. In reply, CM assured her of action in this regard, Barsha Sony told reporters outside Naveen Niwas adding she would resort to dharna if government failed to initiate appropriate action. On the other hand, the Home department has provided her security apprehending her life in danger.

Notably, Barsha brought the allegation of dowry torture against her father-in-law Raghunath Mohanty, mother-in-law and husband last year. Three were also arrested in the case. Raghunath had also resigned as the Law minister of the state.
