Bhubaneswar: After a brief lull, Odisha Vidyalaya Sikshak Mahasangh (OVSM) has decided to resume its protest demanding fulfillment of its various demands from today.

According to reports, the OVSM is planning to hold a rally in Bhubaneswar, which will be attended by around 30,000 teachers.

The association took the decision to resume the strike as the state government is paying no heed to their demands despite repeated requests.

It may be recalled here that as many as 40,000 teachers of 4,000 schools in the State were on strike at the Lower PMG Square here for one and half months demanding regularization of their service and implementation of the grant-in-aid system of salary payment.
