Bhubaneswar: Crime Branch of Odisha Police today nabbed two persons from deep forest under Bamra forest division in Sambalpur district on charges of poaching elephants and seized arms, ammunition from their possession.

The duo will be forwarded to Kuchinda court later in the day, ADG (Crime Branch) B K Sharma said.

A seven-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) made the breakthrough in less than two weeks after State Forest and Environment Department ordered a probe into the poaching activities after three jumbos were found dead in January-end.
