Bhubaneswar: South Indian cuisine has become a part of the breakfast of most people in the city. Now, a food festival brings to the denizens, authentic delicacies from across the southern states. Swosti Grand here has set up a platter of dishes from down South in their unique ‘The Aromas of Dakshin’ food fest that kicked off on Friday.

The festival offers a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items alongside a platter of South Indian main course dishes like lemon rice, sambar, curd and buttermilk. Chettinad chicken and mutton to Hyderabadi salan is being served at the festival that covers popular dishes from Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

To make the festival more interesting the restaurant has set up ideal ambience with an installation of spices and vegetables typical to South Indian cuisine in the dining space. Members of the staff are also seen wearing South Indian attires.

The festival is underway at Swosti Grand till September 10.
