New Delhi: The Students’ wing of Congress’ persistence in teaching Odia to Naveen Patnaik saw them follow the chief minister to New Delhi and register their protest in front of his residence in the national capital on Tuesday.

Holding elementary Odia text books, student Congress members were seen protesting in front of CM’s residence in New Delhi. Delhi police detained the president of the Odisha unit of National Students Union of India (NSUI) Itish Pradhan, along with five more members for violating section 144.

Earlier, Itish Pradhan and 4 more members were detained and sent to jail for trying to enter Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar in a bid to teach Odia language to chief minister Naveen Patnaik.
