Cuttack: Four PG students of Pathology department in SCB medical college moved to State Commission for women alleging that they have been mentally harassed and abused by the head of their department Prof Sitaram Mohapatra.
The students have forwarded the copy of the complaint to chief minister and health minister demanding proper investigation necessary action against the doctor.
SCB junior doctors association condemned the incident and demanded strict action against the erring professor. “Most of the time the professor asks the lady junior doctors to come to his chamber. Many of his actions cannot be expressed before media," Association president Atman Das said.
On the other hand, accused professor denied such allegation. "The allegation is completely baseless. The fact is that I invited an external examiner from AIIIMS and the students are afraid of not passing. So, this is the outcome of their anger", Prof Mohapatra said.
