Bhubaneswar: The number of seats in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Bhubaneswar will be increased by 80. With this increase, the intake capacity of the institute will increase from 180 to 260 from the current academic year.

Informing this to the media, the director of the premier institute RV Rajkumar said, “The intake capacity of the institute will be increased by 80 seats from the current academic year.”

Besides, a new department of Electronics and Communication Engineering with an intake capacity of 40 students will be opened at the institute, Rajkumar added.

The classes for all 260 seats will begin from July this year, Rajkumar informed.
