After making a strong statement and direct attack on BJD by fixing the ruling party’s expiry date, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to hold a massive roadshow in Bhubaneswar. As per party leaders, PM Modi will hold a massive roadshow in Bhubaneswar on May 10.

The roadshow will be held from Mastercanteen Square to Vani Vihar at 6 pm on Friday. Not only PM Modi, but top leaders of the BJP are also lined up to hit the campaign trail in Odisha.

‘Dream Girl’ Hema Malini is also likely to campaign in Odisha. This was evident after the BJP released its star campaigners' revised list on Tuesday. She has been included in the party’s star campaigners’ list in place of Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Odisha BJP Vice-President Golak Mohapatra said that PM Narendra Modi in his statements stated how a government after staying in power for so many years failed to provide basic amenities including drinking water to its people in Odisha. Hence, the Prime Minister asserted that there is a need for a BJP’s double-engine government to speed up developmental works here.

Modi also stated that the governance in Odisha is now in the hands of a non-Odia. To ensure that PM Modi’s statements reach the grassroots level, top leaders of the party including Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other top leaders are all set to visit Odisha and highlight the developments that have taken place in other parts of the country and the states that have double-engine government.

Top Leaders' Odisha Visit Schedule

Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vishnu Deo Sai is scheduled to visit Odisha on May 8. He will address public meetings in Nabarangpur and Koraput tomorrow and on May 9.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will visit Odisha on May 9. He is scheduled to attend three public meetings in Malkangiri, Chitrakonda and Khallikote.

Similarly, Nitin Gadkari will be visiting Odisha on May 9. He will address a public gathering in Puri and Krushnaprasad. Gadkari will cite reasons why a double engine government is needed in Odisha which lacks basic development and how due to non-cooperation of BJD, there have been hindrances in the development of highways, said Mohapatra.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is also scheduled to visit Odisha and hold a public meeting in Rayagada on May 8.

On BJD’s ‘Day Dreaming Jibe’, Golak Mohapatra said, “The BJD leaders should step outside and get the real glimpse of how their development has reached the poor. BJD has misled, and cheated people in the name of development.”

According to Mohapatra, the oath-taking ceremony date has been fixed and from the programmes and turnout of people, it is clearly visible that the mandate is going in favour of the BJP as change is on the cards this time.
