Hemant Sharma gets additional charge of I & PR department

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has given additional charge of Information and Public Relations department to Energy secretary Hemant Sharma.

Sharma has been appointed as the I & PR department head after Surendra Kumar became the new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha, officials said.

Besides the new assignment, Sharma also handles additional charge as CMD GRIDCO and CMD OPTCL.

Surendra Kumar, a 1993 Batch of IAS, replaced D N Gupta, a 1989 Batch IAS as the CEO of Odisha.

Kumar's post as the Principal Secretary in ST and SC & OBC Development Department has been given to 1997 batch IFS officer R Raghu Prasad.
