Couple killed, son critical in road accident

Khurda: A couple was killed and their son was seriously injured when a fuel tanker hit the bike in which they were travelling near Baghamari this morning.

The deceased have been identified as Rasananda Jena of Kapasia village and his wife Manjulata.

The mishap took place when the family members were on the way to Bolagarh.

Following information, Begunia police and a fire brigade team rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to Khurda district headquarters hospital for post mortem.

The seriously injured son Santosh Jena, admitted to the Khurda district headquarters hospital, was later shifted to the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar as his condition deteriorated.
