Bhubaneswar: With clouds becoming clearer gradually over the last Tuesday night’s incident, as many as seventy BJD MLAs and MPs gathered at Naveen Nivas on Friday to show the party supremo Naveen Patnaik their support and strength. As many as five MLAs who met Naveen spill the bins and described before the media what exactly happened that night.

Keonjhar MLA Subarna Naik said, “I was told to sign on a paper at Saheed Nagar declaring Pyari Mohan Mohapatra as the BJD Legislature Party leader.” Corroborating the statement of Naik, MLA Susant Singh said that he was also invited on that day by BJD MP Pyari Mohan Mohapatra who asked him to sign on a paper and he could sniff about a major political development on the cards.

Asked about the discussion with the CM, Naik however said that he suggested the BJD supremo to oust Pyari from the party, when Naveen asked about if any action should be taken.

Earlier on the day, Naveen held one-to-one meeting with party MLAs to get first-hand reports on what actually transpired at Pyari Mohan Mohapatra`s residence on the night of May 29.

Naveen Patnaik on Thursday night arrived at the state capital concluding his eight-day London trip and told the media appropriate decision would be taken at right time.
