Hindol: In a tragic incident, three labourers lost their lives due to electrocution after coming in contact with an 11-KV live wire at Kansara village in Dhenkanal district on Wednesday, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Sanu Nayak from Ankula, Sribasta Bhoi and Pitambar Bhoi from Gobardhanpur.
 

According to reports, the victims were on their way to Bandala in a pickup van, when their van after hitting a cyclist lost balance and rammed into an electric pole at Kansara village on Wednesday morning. Following the collision, an 11-KV wire fell on the van costing lives of the labourers on the spot.

The injured cyclist has been admitted to SCB Medical, Cuttack in a serious condition.
