Over 2.55 lakh voters will exercise their franchise in as many as 250 polling booths in 42 wards to elect the Mayor of the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC). While the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has fielded Sanghamitra Dalai for the post, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s pick is Dr Sabita Suar. The grand old party Congress choice for the mayoral berth is Manju Rath.
