Lucknow: A 35-year-old woman was set on fire allegedly by a jilted lover in Mahanagar area. The woman was set on fire by Satyendra Singh at her residence adjacent to Colvin College on Saturday after she refused to marry him, police said here today.

The woman had suffered 40 per cent burn injuries and is undergoing treatment at a government hospital, they said.

The victim was having an "affair" with Singh for the last seven years, they said.
