Even though there will be no significant change in the minimum (night) temperature in the coming days, foggy conditions will continue to prevail in Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday.

The IMD has issued a ‘yellow warning’ for dense fog in several parts of the State in the next 48 hours. As per the weather bureau, there will be no major change in the minimum temperature in different parts of Odisha during the next four to five days.

IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar informed that dense fog was reported at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, and Bhadrak in the past 24 hours. Shallow to moderate fog was also reported at one or two places over the districts of Angul and Puri.

Shallow to moderate Fog very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Coastal odisha, Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh, Khandhamal, Angul, Dhenkenal, Boudh.

Yellow Warning (Be Updated): Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Ganjam, Khandhamal.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 27.12.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 28.12.2022)

Shallow to moderate Fog very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Puri, Khordha Rayagada, Kalahandi Malkangiri, Khandhamal, Cuttack, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur.

Yellow Warning (Be Updated): Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Khordha, Khandhamal, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Koraput, Rayagada.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.12.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 29.12.2022)

Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
