Under the effect of low pressure, an active monsoon continues across Odisha. All parts of the State including coastal, southern and western Odisha are experiencing rainfall.

As per India Meteorological Department, western and southern parts of Odisha are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall under the influence of the low pressure today.

Yellow warning has been issued in as many as six districts each in western Odisha and southern Odisha for the next 24 hours. Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada and Kalahandi in western Odisha and Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.

As per IMD prediction, heavy rainfall very is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Nuapada, Bolangir on Friday.

Similarly, heavy to very heavy rainfall very is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal. 

Besides, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Khurda, Puri, Kendrapara Jajpur, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Kalahandi on Saturday.
