The viral ‘Vada Pav’ girl was not arrested and no case has been registered against her, revealed Delhi Police. Responding to reports of her being arrested, Delhi Police clarified that she was not arrested. Chandrika Dixit, popularly known as the ‘Vada Pav Girl’ has been in the news after a video of her being detained by police went viral.

As per reports, Chandrika is very popular on Instagram with around 300,000 followers. Police said she has been running a stall in the Mongolpuri area without permission, and attracts a large number of customers as well as other content creators.

This often leads to traffic problems near her stall in the area. Police said they received complaints from residents about traffic jam after she organised a ‘bhandara’ on the roadside. When the police team reached the spot, she allegedly misbehaved with them.

So, her stall was seized and she was taken to the police station. However, no case has been filed against Ms Dixit and she was never arrested, DCP, Outer Delhi said.

Social media is filled with several videos of the girl selling 'Vada Pav'. More than her food, she is the news for her alleged fights with locals and officials in the area.
